What buses were bought in 2024 - Automotive Market Research Institute

The Automotive Market Research Institute has analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine in 2024 and identified the most popular models in three segments of buses: used imports, domestic resales, and new purchases.

In 2024, Ukrainian carriers purchased more than 8 thousand new and used buses, which is 13.4% less than in 2023.

Most of the buses were purchased on the domestic market: 6231 units, accounting for 77.1% of the total. 10.2% of used buses, or 826 units, were imported from abroad.

Domestic sales

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based buses remain the leader in domestic resales, with 1,855 units purchased. A large part of these vehicles were converted from trucks into passenger buses. The second place is taken by Etalon A079 with 520 vehicles. Bogdan A-092 is in third place (431 units).

The most popular used buses imported from abroad

In 2024, buses based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (161 units) took the lead in this sub-segment. The second place was taken by Mercedes-Benz Citaro (64 units), and the third - by Dutch VDL Ambassador buses, 57 units of which arrived.

The most popular new buses

The first place in the sub-segment of new buses for passenger transportation went to BAZ A081 Etalon with a total of 251 first registrations. Bogdan/Ataman A-093 took second place with 195 sold vehicles, and Ford Transit-based buses took third place with 140 registrations.
