The Government has decided to amend the Rules for the Provision of Passenger Road Transport Services. The amendments apply to carriers engaged in irregular passenger transportation.
The document, among other things, expands the term «irregular transportation». Thus, irregular transportation is a one-time transportation of passengers on a specific route in accordance with the contract for the order of irregular passenger transportation services. Information on the implementation of irregular passenger transportation must be entered by the carrier into the Unified Complex of Information Systems in the Field of Land Transport Safety (UCIS).
What innovations await irregular carriers:
- Before performing a flight, an irregular road carrier must enter into the UIS full information about the company (legal entity or individual entrepreneur), vehicle, a scanned copy of the contract for ordering irregular passenger transportation services, date, time, information about the route and purpose of the trip.
- The bus interior must contain information about the road carrier, the liability insurance contract and the amount of the insurance amount, and the driver must have duly certified copies of the contracts (insurance and service order).
The changes will come into force in the fall of 2025.
«The logic is as follows: each carrier that provides irregular passenger transportation will have an additional obligation — the carrier must enter a certain set of data into the UCIS before performing the route», — the Ministry of Transport and Communications reported earlier.
