Ukraine closes border with Moldova to buses
Ukraine will temporarily restrict the movement of international carriers on the border with Moldova from February 18 until further notice. This was reported by the State Border Service.
The decision to restrict traffic was made due to difficult weather conditions that pose an “increased danger” to all road users, as well as to ensure the timely elimination of the consequences of bad weather and the prevention of accidents.
The restrictions apply to trucks and passenger vehicles (buses and minibuses) on the M-15 Odessa-Reni road to Bucharest (km 11+920 - km 308+000). The restrictions came into effect at 5:00 a.m. on February 18.
Due to the restrictions, the movement of trucks and passenger vehicles to/from the Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne, Starokozache, Serpneve, Maloyaroslavets, Lisne, Reni, Dolynske, Orlivka, Vinogradivka, Tabaki, and Novi Troiany checkpoints will be suspended. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has also notified its colleagues in Moldova.
