New rules for quality control came into force
By its Resolution No. 286 dated 04.03.2025, the Cabinet of Ministers amended its Resolutions No. 137 dated 30.01.2012 «On Approval of the Procedure for Mandatory Technical Control and the Scope of Inspection of the Technical Condition of Vehicles, Technical Description and Sample Protocol for Inspection of the Technical Condition of a Vehicle» and No. 512 dated 31.05.2012 «On Approval of the Procedure for Formation of the National Database on the Results of Mandatory Technical Control of Vehicles, Access to It and Establishment of the Amount of Payment for the Provision of Such Services».
According to the amendments, in particular:
- The register of results of mandatory technical control of vehicles is transformed by changing its name into a nationwide database on the results of mandatory technical control of vehicles within 2 months from the date of adoption of this resolution;
- The register of insurance contracts, the objects of which are information on compulsory insurance contracts concluded by insurers for civil liability insurance of owners of land vehicles subject to mandatory technical control, is terminated;
- The provision stipulating that video recording of the process of checking the design and technical condition of a vehicle does not apply during martial law and within 6 months after its termination or cancellation has been removed;
- The scope of inspection of the technical condition of vehicles has been specified;
- Reduced the number of photographs submitted by the subjects of mandatory technical control of vehicles to the national database on the results of mandatory technical control of vehicles;
- The procedure for canceling the vehicle technical condition inspection report by the entity conducting the mandatory technical control of vehicles has been determined.
