Renovation work is underway at the bus station in Lutsk (39 Konyakina St.). The pavement is being repaved in the bus parking lot, as well as at the entrances and exits, to address the problem of frequent flooding and damage to utility lines.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week, and after completion, traffic patterns may be temporarily adjusted for 1–2 days, Natalia Gitun, Chair of the Board of PJSC “Volyn Regional Bus Station Enterprise,” told misto.media.

According to her, constant flooding on the bus station grounds had caused puddles to form, and the uneven pavement created inconveniences for both passengers and carriers. That is why they decided to raise the pavement level in certain areas and replace it with cobblestones.

“There was always standing water there; people were standing in puddles. We decided to raise the pavement and replace it with cobblestones to comprehensively solve the problem,” she explained.

The estimated area of the work is over 200 square meters, and the comprehensive resurfacing will cost approximately 500,000 UAH. In addition, the company regularly spent money on patching, which no longer provided a lasting solution.
