Ministry of Development updates functionality for “short” bus routes in eCherha
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has updated the functionality of the eCherga system for buses on so-called short routes, in accordance with previously approved rules.
These are routes up to 400 km in length, which, according to regular permits, involve two or more border crossings per day.
What has changed?
- The same bus on a short route can cross the border several times during the day (accordingly, a different approach to booking seats in the queue is required).
- The carrier will be able to reserve exactly as many seats in the eCherha as the number of border crossings per day provided for by the route permit.
"We are consistently adjusting the eQueue system so that it takes into account the real working conditions of carriers. Short routes have their own specifics — the same bus can cross the border several times a day. That is why we have updated the functionality so that online queue reservations correspond to the actual number of permitted crossings and provide accessible opportunities for carriers to operate," said Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
The new functionality will be available on January 21 from 9:00 a.m. A special mark will appear in the reservation queue for such routes.
