Ministry of Development announces new tender for interregional bus routes

On March 16, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development will hold another competition for interregional bus routes. This is the third competition to be held electronically using a new digital procedure.

This time, 83 routes covering almost all regions of the country are up for grabs.

Applications for the relevant tender objects are now being accepted through the carrier's online account in the Unified Information Systems Complex.

Documents for participation in the tender can be submitted until February 20, 2026, inclusive.

The competition committee meeting will take place on March 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

What is important for carriers to know in order to participate in the competition and correctly submit an application to the EKIS?

A correctly completed mandatory technical inspection report is required. First of all, this refers to the part of the report concerning additional checks and comfort parameters in terms of the bus's suitability for a specific type of transport — urban, suburban, intercity, or international.

If the bus does not meet all the requirements, the protocol must indicate the code for assessing this non-compliance. A complete list of such codes is provided in Appendix 5 to Resolution No. 137 “On Approval of the Procedure for Mandatory Technical Inspection and the Scope of Technical Inspection of Vehicles, Technical Description, and Sample Protocol for Technical Inspection of Vehicles.”

As a reminder, on December 1, 2025, the first electronic competition for interregional routes was held. In total, based on the results of the two previous competitions, 68 carriers were selected for 54 interregional routes.
