The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine together with UAnimals have developed rules for the transportation of pets in buses

The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, together with UAnimals, has developed rules for the transportation of pets on buses. This was announced on his Facebook page by Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach.

The new rules stipulate that:

  • Small pets (cats, dogs, ornamental birds, rodents) can travel in carriers, bags, containers - in your arms or next to you.
  • Medium and large dogs - only in a muzzle, on a leash, and on the floor near the owner.
  • For people with disabilities, a guide dog remains a faithful assistant and travels without any additional fees.

It is mandatory to have a veterinary document and be sanitary during the trip.

As of now, there are no generalized rules for the transportation of pets on buses. In addition, due to the lack of transportation rules, carriers are sometimes forced to either refuse to transport animals or carry them out in improper conditions.
