Lutsk bus station is being made barrier-free

At Lutsk Bus Station No. 1, work is underway to improve access to the bus terminal for people with disabilities, the elderly, and parents with strollers.

According to Natalia Potarchuk, chair of the board of Volyn Regional Bus Station Company, the project will cost around UAH 2 million. The bus station is funding the project itself, without grants or budget financing. The work will continue until the end of the year.

New ramps have already been installed and tactile tiles laid. In addition, the curbs on the suburban platforms of the bus station have been raised to the level of the last step of the bus to facilitate access to buses for people with disabilities, and the road surface has been repaired. It is worth adding that the bus station also has a modern inclusive restroom.
